RUSSELL PRUITT, MD, OPENS NEW PRACTICE TO INCLUDE GENERAL AND BARIATRIC SURGERY

January 23, 2009 - Russell Pruitt, MD, has opened a new practice in the Acworth Medical Plaza facility offering a full service of advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as bariatric surgery.

The Acworth Medical Plaza is located one mile south of the Cobb County line approximately ten (10) miles south of downtown Cartersville. The facility is located in a rapidly growing area of Cobb County at the corner of Highway 41 and Cedarcrest Road. Dr. Pruitt’s practice, Northwest Georgia Surgical Specialists, is located in Suite 1130 of the Acworth Medical Plaza.
 
Dr. Pruitt received his graduate medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine followed by a residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received additional training in Bariatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Pruitt is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of SAGES and the Georgia Surgical Society.
